Despite the passing of numerous decades, nothing much has changed - I am still fascinated by the countryside and spend the majority of my spare time observing the changing seasons and flora and fauna that accompanies it.

I am fortunate to live in Shropshire, a very rural and beautiful county in England and my stories are based on the lane where I walk my dog most days. I believe bedtime stories are extremely important to a child's development and my own children particularly enjoyed ones that involved animals and adventures.

I hope these short stories can bring some countryside into your homes and provide a fun and informative bedtime read for the special child in your life.

Happy Reading

As a child I grew up with the total freedom to run and play in woods and fields at the bottom of my garden. Any fine day, I, along with either my brothers and sisters or friends would climb trees, make camps, watch birds, play in the streams, pick flowers and have picnics. Inevitably I would return home filthy dirty, often with specimens to study (Slow worms were kept in the old tin bath – much to my mother’s horror!)
