ABOUT SUE FRANKLIN (ILLUSTRATOR)
Sue Franklin was born in Oswestry and lives on the family smallholding in the valley below Sweeney Lane. In partnership with her brother, she breeds Shropshire sheep, keeps rescued cats and poultry, and fosters dogs for a greyhound rescue group. She also loves riding horses - if she can find any spare time.

Sue trained as a Medical & Scientific Illustrator but has always painted animal portraits and wildlife subjects as well. Her illustration work includes several books on Rare Breeds and farmers may remember her cartoon series in "The Sheep Farmer" magazine, featuring the thoughts of three worldly-wise old ewes.

These days she specialises in archaelogical reconstruction drawings, involving animals and agricultural history.
